Our Achievements


Himalayan Holidays, Nepal has come a long way in earning itself the reputation as one of the well-established adventure tour outfitters in South Asia. We are proud of our achievements in the past and would like to live up with the prestige we have attained. Some of the prominent trips that were successfully organized by Himalayan Holidays during the past 17 years are:

Year 2003

  • Mustang Medical Mission(M3 Project)
    During March 2003, Himalayan Holidays organized a medical trek in conjunction with Himalayan Healthcare Inc. at Upper Mustang (Lomanthang) basically focused on the oral health of the rural poor with the medical team led by Dr. Frank Andolino who treated up to 300 patients from the rural region.
  • HHC Bhutan Medical Research Observation
    Commenced in 2004 this group was led by Dr.Frank Andolino, Himalayan holidays provided the logistical support for medical trip done in Bhutan for treatment of the Bhutanese people.
  • EKF (European Korean Foundation)
    Group of 22 international expats including American, French and Germans Led by Anne Ladouceur, For traditional, adventure & cultural study. Thus to create freindship between Korea & Nepal.
  • The Mount Everest High altitude Bio Medical Research Expedition
    Commenced on the month of April 2007 Himalayam Holidays provided logistical support for this group led by Sir Scott Hamilton of 12 people all Doctors and scientists for the high altitude research program.
  • The 2nd Nepal-Japan International Buddhist Symposium
    Himalayan Holidays has successfully undertaken The 1st & 2nd International Buddhist Symposium with the society for Buddhist studies, Nepal and Buddhist economy Forum, Japan on Bhuddhism’s Contribution for World Peace.

Year 2002

  • Mt. Kailash Trip For Renowned German Documentary Film Producer / Director Werner Hezog
    During the june 2002, Himalayan Holidays provided complete logistic arrangements for the famous German Film Producer Mr. Werner Herzog and his wife Mrs. Lina Herzog to shoot the digital documentary of Saka Dawa Festival in Tibet. The Tibet trip was a huge success as the clients were more than happy to experience the cultural trek into the mystic mountains flanked by warmth and hospitality of Himalayan Holidays Team.
  • GulfFor Good (CMG) Charity Challenge Trek To Everest Base Camp
    During September / Octoberr of 2002, Himalayan Holidays provided complete logistical support to forty one participants to the Mount Everest Base Camp in fundraising initiative spear headed by Gulf 4 Good, a Dubai based charity organization launched in March 2001, under the leadership 0f Brian Wilkie and Paul Oliver (with the help 0f Alan Kiff of Campfire Adventures, UK) and under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates. The organization successfully raised funds to contribute to the construction of a medical hospital in rura.l Ilam in coordination with Himalayan Health Care Nepal. The Gulf for Good, a charity foundation from Dubai, UAE, also carried out the G4G Everest Base Camp Charity Challenge between 14th to the 25m of April 2004, to raise money for the second phase of Ilam community hospital. The organization successfully raised funds to contribute for the second phase of Ilam community hospital in rural Ilam in coordination and assistance with Himalayan Health Care, Nepal. Himalayan Holidays provided complete logistical support to all participants of the Everest Base Camp Fundraising Trek.
  • Parks And People Project
    In February 2002, Himalayan Holidays, taking care of all logistics handled a Langtang Park research project. Professor Kohmaru Masaaki from Iwate University had conducted the Parks and People Research Project being undertaken by the government of Nepal towards the conservation of the national parks with the alternative arrangements for private properties availing within the parks. Further in February 2003, another team from Iwate Prefecture University led by Professor Kohmaru visited Nepal again for further research of Chitwan National Park under the Parks and People Project. All the logistics including the trip to the Everest Region for Prof. Kohmaru was arranged by Himalayan Holidays team.
