White Water Rafting and Kayaking


Rafting is one of the best ways to explore the typical cross section of natural as well as ethno-cultural heritage of Nepal. There are numerous rivers in Nepal, which offers something to somebody for excellent rafting or kayaking experience. No prior experience is needed and beginners including children over 10 years can have an exciting time. Our rafts are 16 to 18 feet inflatable rubber boats with 6-7 cross chambers for safety. Rafting is not only way of downstream travel as there is also Kayaking for a roller –coaster ride on the back of the rivers to thrill. Some of the daring and famous rivers for rafting and kayaking in Nepal are:

Best season - October through May

  • Trishuli River (Grade3+)
    is one of Nepal’s most popular rivers for rafting. A trip on the Trishuli River can be incorporated with a trip to Pokhara or to the Royal Chitwan National Park.
  • Bhote Koshi (Grade 4-5
    has twenty six-kilometers of continuous white water exciting rapids.
  • Sunkoshi River (Grade 4-5)
    the total run is 270 kilometers requiring about 8-10 days to complete. The road access is only at the beginning and at the end of the rafting point.
  • Kali Gandaki (Grade 4-6 +)
    winds through remote canyons and deep gorges for five days on intense rapids among gorgeous wilderness and mountain views.
  • Karnali (Grade 4-5)
    the first 90 kilometers are spent passing through spectacular landscapes and narrow gorges and down some of the most challenging rapids in the world. For the remaining 90 kilometers, the scenery and wildlife are the main attractions.
