Introduction

This is a tailored package including Professional Development Program (PDP) cum holiday trip especially designed to the students. In particular, the program utilizes evidence – based practice focused on leadership skills, communication skills and team building. Furthermore, the program is relevant, in-depth, delightful and immediately useful for both the small as well as large groups. Beside the holiday pleasure, the program is designed to specifically target the following objectives:

Day-to-Day Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.

    • Arrive Kathmandu.
    • Welcome dinner at a Nepali restaurant.

    Upon arrival in Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, meet, assist and transfer to the hotel for refreshment and rest.

    Evening: Pre departure trip briefing followed by welcome dinner a Nepali restaurant featuring cultural program.

    Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
  • Day 02: Drive to The Last Resort – Bharabishe – 105 kms / 4 hours.

    • Drive to The Last Resort – Bharabishe.
    • Introductory team building exercise.
    • Lunch at resort.
    • Various team building assignments begins.
    • Dinner and overnight at resort.

    AM: After breakfast, check out from the hotel and get in to a waiting vehicle to start 4 hours drive to The Last Resort – Bharabishe via Ariniko Highway on the way to Tibet. Upon arrival, check in The Last Resort for refreshment and rest. Shortly afterwards, there will be the tour of the Resort followed by introductory team building exercise and assignment.

    PM: Lunch at the Resort. After lunch, participate in various team building assignments which involve team work and communication skills. (Note: In between there will be a short tea break and after tea break the assignment continues till evening).

    Evening: The assignment of the day concludes. Free time for relaxation and some snacks.

  • Day 03: On program in and around the Resort.

    • Morning assignment before breakfast.
    • Breakfast at resort.
    • Picnic for lunch.
    • Various team building assignments begins.
    • Dinner and overnight at resort.

    AM: Before breakfast, participate in the morning assignment which involves a wake up activity that focuses on leadership skills, communication skills and team work.

    PM: Group picnic will be organized for lunch. After lunch, return back to the resort for tea / coffee refreshment, sauna and relaxation.

    Evening: BBQ dinner with campfire and music.

  • Day 04: End program and drive back to Kathmandu.

    • Breakfast at resort.
    • Morning on program
    • Lunch at resort.
    • End program.
    • Drive back to Kathmandu
    • Free evening
    • Overnight at hotel.

    AM: After breakfast, participate in the final morning assignment which involves team work and leadership skills. End program with a review on entire Team Building assignments and their achievements.

    PM: Lunch at resort. After lunch, drive back to the Kathmandu via Ariniko Highway. Upon arrival check in hotel for refreshment and rest.

    Evening: Spend a leisurely evening at hotel.

    Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 05: Drive to Chitwan National Park (Chitwan).

    • Breakfast at hotel.
    • Drive to Chitwan National Park (Chitwan).
    • En route lunch.
    • Dinner and overnight at jungle lodge inside the Park.

    AM: After breakfast, start 4 hours (196kms.) scenic drive to Chitwan National Park, Chitwan via Prithwi Highway. En route lunch at a nice resort.

    PM: Upon arrival at the Park entry point (Chitwan), met by naturalists / representatives from the jungle lodge and get transferred by Land rovers / canoes / elephants to the jungle lodge situated inside the Chitwan National Park.

    Evening: The well stocked bar caters to the needs of the thirsty and a hearty meal of continental or Nepalese cuisine will be served around the campfire.

  • Day 06: Full-day jungle activities inside the Park.

    • Breakfast at jungle lodge.
    • Full day jungle activities inside the Park.
    • Dinner and overnight at jungle lodge inside the Park.

    AM: Early wake up call and proceed for an elephant ride or a jungle walk, to view the wildlife in their early repose. This is the best time of the day to see the animals as we silently brush through dewy tall elephant grass (18-20 ft. tall), a habitat for rhinos, tigers and other wild animals. Spend 2-3 hrs. in the jungle, then return to the camp for breakfast. Shortly afterwards, visit the elephant stables to get a firsthand knowledge on elephants from senior naturalists.

    PM: After a hearty lunch at camp, the afternoon is free for the much-deserved mid-afternoon siesta or a visit to the library for general in formations on the National park. In the late afternoon, there is a choice to participate in the programs offered at the camp, which includes jungle drives in Land Rovers visiting different lakes inside the National Park, Canoe rides/ floats or an escorted Nature walk and bird watching excursion.

  • Day 07: Drive to Pokhara (186 kms. / 3 hrs.)

    • Breakfast at jungle lodge inside the Park.
    • Drive to Pokhara.
    • Sightseeing tour of Pokhara.
    • Sunset boat ride at Phewa Lake.
    • Overnight at hotel.

    AM: After breakfast, get transferred to the park exit point, whereupon get in to a waiting vehicle and start 4 hours scenic drive to Pokhara - nestled in the tranquil valley (827m) on the laps of the mighty Annapurna Himalaya Range. Pokhara is also known as vacationer’s paradise. En route lunch at a local restaurant.

    PM: Upon arrival at Pokhara, check in hotel for refreshment and rest. In the late afternoon proceed for a sightseeing tour of Pokhara city, , which includes visit to the Davis Falls, the Seti Gorge, the Tibetan Refugee Camp and the Bindabashini Temple.

    Evening: Sunset boat rides at Phewa Lake.

    Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 08: Fly back to Kathmandu.

    • Sunrise view from Sarangkot.
    • Breakfast at hotel.
    • Fly to Kathmandu.
    • Farewell dinner at a nice restaurant in Thamel.

    AM: Pre-dawn wake up call and drive to Sarangkot to view a magnificent sunrise over the Annapurna Himalayan Range. Drive duration-30 minutes and 45 minutes hiking. View the sunrise and return back to the hotel for breakfast.

    PM: After lunch, transfer to Pokhara airport to board the 30 minutes scenic flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for refreshment and rest.

    Evening: Farewell dinner at a nice restaurant in Thamel.

    Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 09: Final Departure.

    • Breakfast at hotel.
    • Final Departure.

    AM: Free until final departure transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport.
