Day-to-Day Itinerary

• Day 01:
  Fly to Lhasa from Kathmandu.
  Fly to Lhasa from Kathmandu taking one of the world's most scenic flights to Lhasa (3,650), flying across the Hengduan Range and the valleys of three of Asia's greatest rivers, the Salween, the Mekong, and the Yangtze.
  Overnight at the hotel Lhasa.
• Day 02:
  Sightseeing tour around Lhasa.
  Visit the Potala Palace and explore the grandest of its myriad rooms; audience halls; and the immense, jeweled burial chortens of past Dalai Lamas; its chamber after chapel after shrine of statuary, frescoes, and paintings.
  Overnight at the hotel Lhasa.
• Day 03:
  Sightseeing tour around Lhasa.
  Take an excursion to Ganden Monastery, one of the most important monastic sites of Tibet, and do some light hiking in the surrounding area.
  Overnight at the hotel Lhasa.
• Day 04:
  Lhasa
  Visit Tibet's holiest temple, the Jokhang, the Barkhor, Lhasa’s old market, circles the Jokhang. We may also visit Tibet's two greatest monasteries, Drepung and Sera. Drepung once housed 10,000 monks and Sera almost as many. If we are lucky, we will see and hear the lilting, booming chanting of the sutras, or perhaps just watch as the monks engage in theatrical debate.
  Overnight at the hotel Lhasa.
• Day 05:
  Lhasa
  Early breakfast and transfer to the airport fly back to Kathmandu.
  Overnight at the hotel Lhasa.
