Day-to-Day Itinerary
- Day 01:
Kathmandu (1300m) -Zhangmu (2,500m) - 123 Km:
Early morning scenic drive to Kodari (Nepal-Tibet Border) through beautiful Nepalese
countryside. We need to do the visa process and get the permission to enter Tibet
in both Nepal and Tibet side in the border.
Overnight at the hotel.
- Day 02:
Zhangmu -Xegar (4,350m) – 244 Km:
Day drive uphill to the highest plateau of the world with typical views of the world
with Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world
crossing over Nyalam Pass (3,800m) and Lalung La (5,050m), weather permitting breath
taking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt. EVEREST (8,848M) but
dwarfed by the vastness of the Tibetan plateau.

- Day 03:
Xegar - Xigatse (3900m) – 244 km.
Continue scenic drive crossing over Gyatchu La (5,220m), the highest pass en-route
to Lhasa via Lhatse from where a road to Mt Kailash bifurcates to the west.
Overnight at the hotel.
- Day 04:
Xigatse - Gyantse (3950m) – 90 km:
Morning sightseeing to the Panchen Lama's Tashilhumpu Monastery. Drive to Gyantse
and visit to the Kumbum Stupa and Phalkor Monastery.
Overnight at the hotel.
- Day 05:
<Gyantse - Lhasa (365m) – 261 Km. 7/8 hrs. drive.
Full day picturesque drive crossing over Karola (5010m), Kamba La (4794m), colorful
Yamadrok Lake & the Tibetan lifeline Brahmaputra.
Overnight at the hotel Lhasa.
- Day 06-07:
Sightseeing tour of Lhasa city, Potala palace, Drepung Monastery, Jokhang temple,
Sera monastery, Samye monastery and The Norbulingkha. Lhasa:
: The capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region is located between 29d 36’North and
91d06’ East at the north bank of Kyichu river, a tributary of the Yarlung Tshangpo
River, at an altitude of 3’650 meters above sea level. Lhasa has history of more
than 1300 years and it’s been the center of politics, economy, culture and religion
in Tibet since ancient times.

- Day 08:
Early breakfast and transfer to the airport fly back to Kathmandu.

- Seven nights / Eight days Tibet Tour on bed and breakfast basis as per the itinerary
on twin room sharing basis.
- Arrival / Departure transfers by non air-conditioned vehicle in Kathmandu and in
Tibet with our airport representative.
- All sightseeing tour and transfers by 4WD (4500 Toyota) land cruiser as per the
itinerary with local English speaking guide including all travel permit.
- Airfare Kathmandu / Lhasa or vice versa (US$ 275.00 nett per person for one way).

- Tibet visa fee (US$ 45.00 net per person).
- Lunch / Dinner in Lhasa.

- Expenditure of personal nature such as bar bills, alcoholic beverages, laundry,
and telephone calls, extra mileage, tips to guide, porters, drivers etc.
- Personal insurance policy – suggested comprehensive travel insurance covering tour
and flight cancellations, loss of valuables, thefts, illness and accidents.
